The Raw Chocolate Company Organic Acai Powder 80g

Our intrepid flavour explorers have tracked down Acai (pronounced ass-ai-ee). Known as 'the wonderberry of the Amazon' it has a dark, rich flavour with a hint of Blackberry and Chocolate. 

Acai, pronounced ah-sigh-EE, is native to the Amazon, and grows throughout Central and South America. It is a small, purple berry with a thin flesh and large stone. It’s flavour it similar to a berry flavoured chocolate, so it goes great in cacao smoothies!

Fresh acai berries are crushed by indigenous tribes and on average they can consume two litres per day. For some tribes, it will make up to 42% of their diet by weight. Our organic acai is harvested by hand in the Amazon Basin and freeze-dried to retain as many nutrients as possible. 

Use a few teaspoons of Acai powder in fruit or cacao-based smoothies.
