A great alternative for making healthy tasty chocolate brownies Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans

Caster Sugar, Cocoa* (contains Umbelliferae) (13.64%), Brown Rice Flour

To make your chocolate brownies you need: 275g butter (at room temperature), 4 medium to large eggs, grease-proof paper and a baking tin (ideal size 23cm x 30cm and 4cm high). Preheat oven to 190°C or 170°C for fan oven or gas mark 5. Grease a baking or roasting tin. Then line with grease-proof paper, covering base and sides of tin.

1. Beat eggs and butter together in a bowl, preferably with an electric beater. (This will take about 2 minutes and will look a bit gloopy as they don't combine well) 2. Gradually add Sowan's Chocolate Gluten Free Brownie Mix, a little at a time, beating all the time. Once all the mix is in, beat for 4 minutes. 3. Transfer the mixture into the prepared tin, spreading it gently to the corners of the tin and levelling the top with a palette or other wide knife. 4. Bake in the pre-heated oven for 40-45 minutes. 5. Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin before cutting into 24 squares. 6. Your brownies can be kept for up to 1 week in an airtight container.
