Oatly Barista Edition Oat Milk 1000ml is the gold-standard of milk alternatives for hot drinks.

Ever been disappointed with other milk alternatives?

Have you added them to your favourite drink only to notice it has split and ruined?

With a little acidity regulator, Oatly have managed to formulate a low-gluten oat milk that not only tastes amazing, but foams beautifully and does not split in hot drinks.

This oat milk is 100% plant-based and suitable for vegans. It's also packed in a way that minimises the carbon footprint of manufacturing and packaging.

So, how is Oatly Barista Oat Milk made and what makes it so much more special than any other oat milk?

First, cleaned, peeled, and heat-treated oat kernels are delivered to the Oatly factory.

Then, the oat kernels are mixed with water and milled - creating something that resembles porridge!

Next, it's sent to the enzyme tank - and this is where the magic happens! Natural enzymes are added to the porridge-like mixture to break-down the oat starch into smaller components.

Don't worry though, most soluble fibre is retained in the mixture during this process, thanks to Oatly's unique enzyme mixture. This means the all-important beta-glucans remain in-tact too.

After this, comes the separation step - where some insoluble fibre is removed from the mix - leaving a smooth liquid mix.

Then ta-da! The oat base is ready.

From here, in the Barista Oat Milk blend, acidity regulator is added (to prevent splitting in hot drinks) alongside a little rapeseed oil, a touch of salt, and some vitamins and minerals.

Then onto heat treatment (for product safety), homogenising (to avoid the product splitting), then into the packaging - then finally, into your cup of tea or coffee! Enjoy.

Water, oats 10%, rapeseed oil, acidity regulator (dipotassium phosphate), minerals (calcium carbonate, potassium iodide), salt, vitamins (D2, riboflavin, B12).

Foam and add to coffee (or skip the foaming part, if you prefer). Can also be added to tea

Made using low-gluten oats - so whilst not completely gluten free (less than 100ppm - mg/kg product), it contains less gluten than many other oat milks.
