Blueberry, Linden, Mallow and Plantain distillate in an isotonic solution together with conjunctivitis liquid is indicated to soothe inflammation and itchiness and to decongest and refresh the reddened eyelid mucoa. Blueberry is rich in tannins, pectic and hydroquinonic substances plus a glucoside (arbutoside). It has good astringent and vasal-protective properties and encourages rapid visual perception in scarce light. Mallow has soothing effects due to its mucilage and anthocyanin content. Rich in mucilage, tannins and the glucoside aucubin, Plantain is effectively used as an anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic agent. Linden has emollient, decongestive and refreshing properties for red and inflamed mucose membranes due to its content of mucilage, tannins, an essential oil containing farnesol and a glucoside (tiliacin).
