Aloe Vera is an herbaceous perennial in the family Liliaceae grown for its succulent leaves which have a variety of culinary and medicinal uses. The Botanical name of Aloe Vera is Barbadensis miller. This plant is grown in the driest climates; it is a succulent plant and requires very little water.

Aloe Vera is a nutrient rich plant and known to act as a soothing remedy to balance and support digestion. It has been used for thousands of years for its rejuvenating properties and offers benefits both for inner health and external use too. Its healing properties have made Aloe Vera very popular.

Our organically Mexican Grown Aloe Vera is freshly squeezed with a minimum of 1500mg/ltr polysaccharides. It is cold pressed from the inner flesh of the leaf. Made from hand selected leaves from mature plants, it is cold processed and unfiltered to maximise potency. To pasteurise, just before filling the juice, it is heated to 82 degrees for 1 minute and cooled down straight away.

Aloe Vera is rich in nutrients and boasts an impressive profile of vitamins, C, E and also the B group of vitamins. It is also rich in minerals such as folic acid, calcium, iron and magnesium among others. It is also known for its high content of Amino Acids essential for body function and good health.

Fushi’s Aloe Vera juice is not filtered and does not contain Latex. Aloe produces two substances, gel and latex, which are used for medicines. Aloe gel is the clear, jelly-like substance found in the inner part of the aloe plant leaf. Aloe latex comes from just under the plant's skin and is yellow in colour. Aloe latex can cause problems with the kidneys and intestinal tract. Within aloe latex lies the active ingredient of anthraquinone, which functions as a laxative.

Aloe Vera Juice is extremely alkalising for the system, and is great for balancing our bodies PH levels. Our blood has to be on the slightly alkaline side to maintain good health. Aloe Vera is wonderful for our digestive health. Internal benefits include soothing the digestive system and the GI tract. Aloe Vera contains enzymes which are known to help with the breakdown of sugars and fats to keep your digestion running smoothly. Consuming Aloe Vera can encourage good digestive bacteria, lessen yeast formation, and regularise bowel processing.

Aloe Vera is also known to benefit the Immune system. The enzymes present in Aloe Vera break down into proteins that turn into fuel for cells in the body. Zinc is also an important component in Aloe Vera, making it a great source to combat zinc deficiency. This can help the body to ward off diseases, kill bacteria and protect the functioning of our cell membranes. Aloe Vera juice is said to be one of the bodies best cleansers. It is extremely healing and soothing benefitting indigestion, stomach distress and ulcers.

For the skin, Aloe Vera is extremely hydrating and may help certain skin conditions, where the skin is extremely dry and needs moisturising. Aloe Vera is used widely in skin care products as a moisturiser. The nature of the aloe prevents the skin from drying up. The hydrating effect of the Aloe Vera also works from the inside out. When taken regularly, it can help maintain soft and supple skin. Aloe Vera is rich in antioxidants and vitamins that may help protect the skin. There are compounds in Aloe Vera that may help neutralise the effects of UV radiation, skin damage, and help in the prevention of aging skin. Aloe Vera can also help with sunburn, through its powerful healing activity at the epithelial level of the skin, a layer of cells that cover the body.

Aloe Vera has also been known to help heal acne. Aloe Vera contains hormones which provide wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties which can soothe and help reduce skin inflammation, and help the skin to heal more rapidly and build new cells with minimal scarring. Additionally, in Ayurvedic medicine, Aloe is used to effectively heal chronic skin problems, such as psoriasis, acne and eczema.
