The Cranberry was originally called the Craneberry, as the appearance of the flowers resembles the neck and head of a crane. The cranberry was also found in the UK in the 17th century, and was known as the Fenberry after the boggy areas these bushes like to grow in. High in Fibre and with a high proportion of complex sugars for a fruit, these tasty little red berries are a great nibble. They also have good levels of the essential dietary mineral manganese, as well as a range plant nutrients including polyphenols and flavonoids. These cranberries are soaked in apple juice before being air dried. This means Clearly Scrumptious cranberries are moist, vibrant and fruity just like nature intended. These cranberries also have no additives or preservatives. They are great on their own as a snack and they also work really well when added to cereal or in a recipe.
