In Chinese history, this super root of the Polygonum Multiflorum vine is one of the most admired health superfoods or whole foods. He shou wu or ho shou wu are the Chinese names for fo ti root and translated is “Mr, He with a head of black hair”. As legend says, the name is after the grandchild of a older man who consumed fo ti root over a numbers of years to regain his black hair, and youthfulness including vitality, strength and sexual function. The claimed scientific research has not been approved by the European Union for fo ti and therefore we cannot advise of the truth behind the myth or mention any of the other claimed benefits or scientific theory. This wonderful plant is grown for it’s super root ho shou wu for human consumption in a natural and clean open-air environment in China.

FO TI CURING AND POWDER

The root of the plant is organically grown and is carefully selected and harvested. Shortly after harvest the he shou wu root is sliced and cured with black bean soup. The prepared foti root wholefoods are then dried and milled into the finest quality ho shou wu powder. The ratio between harvested he shou wu root and powder super foods is 5:1 which means 1kg of our powder is produced from 5kg of whole foods.

FO TI CAPSULES 

BodyMe provide organic foti capsules (500mg with a 5:1 concentration ratio) encapsulated in the UK to Soil Association organic strandards and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Our capsules are plant based (vegetable cellulose), vegan, vegetarian, certified Kosher and Halal and contain no fillers, binders or bulking agents. Each capsule contains 500mg of pure organic foti root powder and nothing else. Suggested use for he shou wu capsules - 1 foti capsule taken 2 to 3 times per day before a meal. 

You can use foti superfoods in different ways. Although, it doesn’t have a set use, people like to introduce ho shou wu powder gradually, then after the initial introduction period, consume 2 to 4 grams per day. Fo ti root powder wholefoods can be mixed into water, smoothies, fruit juices, yoghurt, porridge, hot or cold cooking and super foods breakfasts or any other way you can imagine. Do not exceed suggested use of he shou wu, as may cause diarrhea and gastrointestinal upset.
